Change at Work

Change at Work is Community’s new bespoke personal development programme. If you want to change your workplace or get more active in the union, this could be for you.

Community is looking for talented individuals to support our diverse union in developing activists across our broad membership base.
If you want to enhance your skills and knowledge to meet the needs of a modern union and help us create a better working world, then do consider applying for our Change at Work personal development programme.
This is your opportunity to take part in a structured programme aimed at developing a group of lay activists and those who have an interest in becoming active within Community or the wider labour movement.
The Change at Work programme aims to develop transferable skills so you can make change in your workplace – either opening up more opportunities for yourself, providing skills so you can be active at work or giving you the confidence to reach out beyond the workplace to support Community as a campaigning union.
The programme will launch in September 2017 and will include four modules covering broad subject areas requiring independent learning, two residential days per module and e- learning in our virtual classroom. The course is supported by a professional course tutor. Two modules are scheduled for 2017, with the remaining two next year.

The deadline for applications is 22 May.
