Trade Unions were among the first groups to champion environmental legislation. This is because Trade Union members were being affected by industrial pollution in their towns and communities.
Today Trade Unions are developing solutions that will integrate the developing green economy with traditional industries in a way that will protect jobs and cut CO2 emissions.
At the Copenhagen summit trade unions have collected together into the World of Work pavillion, within the conference.
You can follow the link to the World of Work pavillion here.
Or visit the International trade Union Confederation (ITUC) website on Climate Change here.
Community Union affiliate the European Metalworkers' Federation (EMF) is jointly sponsoring an event within the pavillion called 'High Level Conference on Low Carbon Industrial Policies'.
The programme of events at this event is available on the Industrial Policy in Europe site here.
The ITUC has produced a number of videos on Climate Change.
