A large delegation of TCP workers from Community Union, the GMB and Unite traveled to Birmingham to take part in the march.

TCP managing director John Bolton produced 'Corus - Save our jobs' t-shirts, to make these steel workers stand out from the crowd.

Former NEC member and Community rep. Derek Loughborough (pictured left), joined the marches to express his shock at the proposed mothballing of TCP.

The march was a great success which raised the profile of job losses in the North East and made sure that the threat to TCP was not accepted as a done deal.
