What training for Think21?

I have still not received ANY training, but I think it has been made a sackable offense NOT to ID young people.

Anon. BetFred

I think it is a bit harsh to be given a stage 2 warning, for a first offence. Retraining should be the first step then all steps starting with a verbal should be taken.

We have had no training on how to deal with people who are underage and will not leave the premises.

S. William Hill

I often feel that I lack training in carrying out the Think21! policy, and worry that one mistake might lead to the loss of my job, or one of my colleagues.

P. Ladbrokes

Training was given but the example photos shown were photocopies and unclear.

V. Coral

…to comply with Think21! companies must give training to all staff and therefore close shop for one hour before opening so we are all fully aware

K. BetFred

Although the policy seems to be working, it is due to staff being threatened with job loss and potential criminal records. A rushed training session has been given which comprised of us retelling some what we had read previously.

P. Coral

Please consider the staff needs when continuing the Think21! against a back drop of fear, violence and abuse and improper training.

D. William Hill

…if we had a lot more support and training on how to handle the situations then I would feel more confident in approaching the situation

A. BetFred

Memos are being sent to staff every week threatening sacking, fines, criminal records and prison sentences. These scare tactics are wrong and although William Hill has to enforce Think21, bullying is the wrong way to go about it.

L. William Hill

No training, just new responsibilities
