Community Membership Awards
Community has several awards to recognise the important contributions from individual members. There are three awards.
The Community Members’ Shield
Community has commissioned the Community Members’ Shield as a new award that is open to all members of Community, and is available at the discretion of the NEC.
The Steelworker Statue
This award is available to Community members with connections to the steel industry who have given outstanding service to the union either as a branch official, EC/NEC member, full time officer or who have enhanced the good name of the union through any other service. This award is presented at the discretion of the NEC.
The Community Award
This award, made from crystal, is available to members of Community who have given outstanding service to the union, either as a branch official, EC/NEC member, full time officer or, through any other service, have enhanced the good name of the union. This award is presented at the discretion of the General Secretary.
Long Service Badges
The two long service awards are the Silver badge for 30 years membership and the Gold Badge for 40 years membership.
