1) You make the decisions

Community represents workers across a range of fields including Steel, Betting shops, Textiles and Social Care. While Community will always negotiate in good faith, it is occasionally necessary to take industrial action. It will only affected when you support the action.

You will always be asked to vote on any industrial action that involves your workplace. You will never be asked to take industrial action that does not have majority support from you and your colleagues.

2) Community will negotiate

Community meets frequently with NSPCC management. As the recognised union at the NSPCC, Community is consulted on terms and conditions, restructuring and other changes which directly affect your working life.

3) Community can provide individual support

Community understands that sometimes the most pressing issues are not pay or pension related. Community offers individual support to help manage issues such as bullying and harassment, victimisation and stress.

4) It's easy to get help

Community has a dedicated Member Service Centre that can offer support, advice and guidance. members can access these services over the phone or leave a message and have the MSC contact them at a more convenient time. Free call: 0800 389 6332

5) Community has you covered

Community provides legal support for cases of workplace injury. Not only will Community fight for your compensation, but this service is included in your membership fees, so Community won't touch a single penny of your compensation. In 2007 Community won £3.8 million for our members.

6) Community offers clear advice

If you have a legal problem you have enough worries without having to find the money to pay for legal advice and representation. Community has a nationwide network of solicitors on call to support you in your time of need - you simply can't afford to be without the union.

7) Community covers your family

Community's legal services cover our members and their immediate family. Community also has a dedicated child benefit to congratulate our members for enlarging their families.

8) Community has benefits for all occasions

Every Community member is covered by our bereavement benefit. The benefit accrues at £200 each year for the first 5 years and £10 for each year thereafter.
