Health and Safety are a big issue for Community and for our members.
There are annual events to raise awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace and to place the focus on Health and Safety legislation.

Workers' Memorial Day
An International Day to remember those who have died through unsafe working conditions.
European Health & Safety Week
A week promoted by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work.
Ban Bullying at Work Day
The Andrea Adams Trust combats bullying and harassment in the workplace.
Risk Assessment
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work are promoting workplace risk assessments.
Noise at Work
Noise at work affects thousands of workers every year with permanent hearing loss. Community has provided information that may help.
Near Miss Reporting
Near Miss Reporting is a very effective way of cutting the rate of fatal and serious workplace accidents.
Medical Referrals in Employment
The TUC warns that many doctors that practice occupational medicine do not have enough specialist training. Many doctors may have only limited knowledge in the many fields such as the health problems of hazards in the workplace, rehabilitation to work or adjustments at work.
