Andy Kerr MSP said:
“Violence against workers is something which I have fought against for many years.
“As the Public Services Minister and Health Minister in the previous Government, I was saddened and disappointed to hear from public servants who had been physically and verbally abused. Sadly, this pattern of behaviour extends beyond the public services and involves those working in our shops, on our buses and in our call centres. This type of abuse is on the increase and it must be stopped.”
