Update for Corus Strip and Long Products

In correspondence between Corus management and your union, Corus agreed to hear the claims of Strip and Long products in a joint session.
This is a significant step in the negotiations as it is the first time that Corus will be presented with a both claims since 1990. As explained in ‘Corus Community Issue 2’ reaching an agreement with Corus to hear a common claim was an important part of strategic negotiations and was endorsed by the Strip PJC and Long Products BJC.
It is too early in the negotiations to predict the end result, but Community is confident that the agreement to present a joint claim will benefit all employees in Strip and Long products as it will allow Community to work towards standardising conditions across Corus.
