Firstly a big thank you to all members that participated in our survey and encouraged your colleagues to do the same. The Union was overwhelmed with the amount of responses that we received and are in the process of reporting back to you and Government on your responses. At this time, please remind colleagues that have not joined yet of the support and representation the Union provides to our members particularly around this issue. Community will be launching a new “quick fire” survey for members to gather more statistical data around the issue to build your campaign to stop the victimisation of betting staff, get the industry to take a step back and listen to the voice of betting shop workers.
In the mean time we advise members to stay vigilant and if in doubt always ask for ID.
