On the 30th January Community hosted a Jobsfair for ex-Alphasteel employees
On Wednesday 30 January Community Union, together with Communitas, held a job fair for all ex-Alphasteel employees at the Orb Conference Centre in Newport. The event was an opportunity for Community members to meet with representatives from prospective employers, employment agencies and training providers.
The fair was well attended and all parties felt it had been a very useful event as it allowed the ex-Alphasteel members a chance to meet with people who recognised and understood their skills and could put them to good use. It also gave employers a chance to meet prospective employees who could fill the skills gaps they have.
