Health and Safety Seminar - Incorporating Workers' Memorial Day
The health and safety seminar held on 9 May was well attended by health & safety reps, branch secretaries and non-officials as well as region 4 staff. The seminar covered recent updates to health & safety regulations and was presented by Karl Mills, formerly of Corus and now health & safety training officer for Walsall Council.
Karl continues to be actively involved in the region and is always welcomed by both members and staff.
As part of Workers' Memorial Day, a minute's silence was held in remembrance of those killed at work.
A power point presentation by Karl was followed by discussion and work groups and culminated in an accredited exam.
A most informative day was enjoyed by all who attended.
