National Executive Council

Community is a union responsible to its members. The governing body of Community is the National Executive Council which is elected every three years.

The Council is comprised of 15 regional seats which are distributed amongst the regions according to membership numbers which are elected by all working members within that region. There are 3 seats reserved for women. These are distributed across the regions and are elected by all working members in the relevant region. There is also 1 seat reserved for ethnic minority members, and 1 seat for members with a disability.

The National Executive Council elects one member each year. That member then serves one year as Vice President, followed by one year as President.
