I want to introduce you to Oona King and ask you to support her to be Labour’s candidate for Mayor of London.
Labour lost the last Mayoral election, so it’s important that we have a candidate who recognises where we went wrong and does what we need to do to win back the city from the Tories.
Community believes that Oona offers the fresh start and new direction that London and Labour needs.
London is not just the capital of Britain; it is one of the great cities in the world. There are more than 300 languages spoken on the streets of London today. People from around the world have brought their food, art, music and culture to every street corner and transformed London into the diverse, multicultural melting pot that it is today.
London needs a Mayor who understands and can represent the diversity of the city to the world. We believe that Oona is that person.
Oona has the strength of character to help renew both London Labour and the city of London. Oona is the right candidate for the job, with her dedication to equality, transparency and democracy.
As a Community member, you have a chance to have your say on who should run London. Your ballot pack with this magazine will contain a ballot paper for the London Labour mayoral selection and the Labour leadership. Please take this opportunity to vote and make sure you are represented in City Hall.
