Community has a research department which analyses trends in the British manufacturing sector. This has allowed Community to support British industry as it struggles to adapt to the challenges of Globalisation.
Research provided by Community played a role in the decision of Corus to invest in the British Steel industry. This was a result of Community being able to provide industry with research and analysis of the trends in the British and Global Steel sectors.
Community also provides this research to our affiliated organisations.In the UK Community is affiliated to;

Our General Secretary is the President of the ferrous and non-ferrous section of the IMF.
These links pressure multinationals to adopt basic human rights and employment standards in other countries, and this helps keep jobs in Britain.
