Community has developed a package of services and benefits that provide assurance and protection to members from cradle to grave.
Community provides all the traditional union services such as wage negotiation, health & Safety monitoring and campaigning for reasonable hours. However, the benefit package offered by Community is designed to cover members at work and at home.
There are three main types of membership benefit.
The Core Benefits
these are provided by the union and include Bereavement benefit, child benefit, convalescent home, strike and lock out benefit and many others.
The Legal Services
Community has a nationwide network of solicitors on call to assist members with a wide range of issues, both inside and outside the workplace. Community has negotiated reduced rates on some services and some services are free of charge for our members.
The Third Party discounts for members
These are companies that Community has negotiated a special discount rate on their services for our members.
The Awards
Community also hosts an annual awards night to acknowledge the hard work of Community members in their workplaces.
Community benefits are also available to all members that retain their membership into retirement.
