Community Union sent a large delegation of members to the Labour Party conference in 2009. As an affiliated union, Community participates in the Labour Party conference in order to influence policy and represent our members and their families.
Community Union hosts a function for our delegates the evening before the conference. Above, General Secretary Michael J. Leahy OBE, introduces Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who thanked Community for our support and praised our commitment to the working families of Britain.
